Lago de Atitlán is a volcanic lake or I should better say a collapsed volcanic cone. It is surrounded by colorful mountains and filled with shimmering water. We stayed at San Pedro La Laguna, a little village right at the lake, populated with locals and a lot of bohemian travelers. There we don´t know what they offered most, horseback riding, kayak tours, drugs or pan de banano (banana bread). In most of the cases we decided for the banana bread, which by the way has become my favorite in Guatemala. The most delicious though, you can get in Flores in Calle Unión, according to my (our) experience.
Yummy, yummy!!!
